CAM is a way of treatment to cure the common cold but its uses are not restricted as it can be used as a form of medication for flu as well. However this statement is yet to be underlined by scientific research which still hasn’t yielded definite proof that CAM is entirely successful in treating the flu. Cold and flu are two different sorts of illnesses and are often confused as one since their origins come about airborne by the same method: engaging in contact with contaminated surfaces and people.
Symptoms of the flu and cold are somewhat alike which is why there has been some questions regarding the potent of CAM in curing flu. Cold induces indications such as cough, fever and headaches all which CAM is successful in diminishing and flu symptoms also cause the same effects. However, flu symptoms are much more severe and drastic in effecting the patient then the normal cold which CAM may not be able to prevent.
